About Me

I am Kirsten, a chemist and chemical engineer with a penchant for design. I designed The Naka Bag for myself when I was pregnant because I could not find anything like it on the market. I wanted something stunning, in genuine leather, that served its purpose but that would allow me to maintain my identity. You lose that as a new mom and so we need everything we possibly can to keep it, it's so important to feel strong as a mom to be the best for our children. I also know how to sew, which helps, and so I made the first bag myself. Since then I still make part of it, but employ a team of masters in their craft to help me hand stitch each bag. I make them in Zimbabwe, my homeland and a place so very special to me and it is paramount to me that I support my people!
